Why It’s Hot: Over the past few years Sam Wilson has gone from Captain America’s sidekick to his partner before going on to become one of Marvel’s most important characters. Why It’s Hot: Arguably the best creative team in comics continues arguably the best new comic of the year. The comic book medium doesn’t get much better than this. If you haven’t been reading this gem it’s still early enough in the series to get caught up.

Why It’s Hot: On the back of the debut of Hulu’s live action adaptation this past weekend at NYCC, interest in Runaways is higher than it has been in years. Marvel Comics has made sure not to let this opportunity go to waste, with best selling author Rainbow Rowell and fan favorite artist Kris Anka leading the charge. The first issue showcased the love the creative team has for this group of characters, and it’s going to be exciting to see what they have in store for us next!

  • Catalyst Prime Noble Vol. 2 #1: The next volume of one of Lion Forge’s flagship titles kicks off this week!
  • Mech Cadet Yu #3: Pak, and Miyazawa’s all ages comic can be best described as Harry Potter meets Pacific Rim. If you’re in the mood for big robots after that Pacific Rim: Uprising trailer last weekend, you can find it here!
  • Uncanny Avengers #28: Wonder Man and Beast are reunited, and it feels so good!
  • Wonder Woman #32: The end of last issue was a jawdropper, and put this title back squarely in the center of the DCU. If you’re big on DC continuity this is one of the most important series you can be reading.
  • Wrapped Up #1: Lion Forge’s all ages imprint gets a brand new series, and there are mummies, vampires, magic, and comic books.
  • X-Men Blue #13: Mojo is on the prowl for ratings, and he has revved up the X-Men’s greatest hits to get them. Can both X-Men squads come together to overcome being face to face with some of their worst memories?
