Last week Kids’ Corner discussed Room On The Broom, a spooky book that doesn’t get too spooky, and this week we are continuing that theme with Little Goblins Ten. This fun little tale is a counting book, increasing the tally with each segment, like so many books that step through counting via a story. The thing that sets Little Goblins Ten apart is that it does so with a Halloween theme and a great set of rhymes. Jane Manning’s illustrations make the spooky zombies, goblins and monsters of Halloween cutesy without being too cutesy, and it is the perfect level of spooky for young ones. Kids won’t get nightmares from it, but they will get their spooky Halloween fix, which is a win. This is a great book for the 3-5 year olds in your life and the cute tale will endear them toward the spooks of Halloween and it’s simple story will be easy for young ones to follow.
