Ten Tweets Thursday With @FotoCub

Happy Thursday, folks! This week on Ten Tweets Thursday we have the pleasure of delving deep into the mind of Matt Santori (@FotoCub), a writer for The Idler Magazine and art director from The Windy City.

#1 What is the first comic you remember reading?

Justice League of America #215 on my 8th birthday. It started my lifelong love of the JLA (and led to a complete collection today).

#2 You can only pick two: all time favorite comic book characters?

Only two!?!?! Donna Troy and Barbara Gordon, particularly as Batgirl. Growing up, they were who I most wanted to be friends with.

#3 What is your favorite limited or mini-series of all time?

Crisis on Infinite Earths. It was epic, full of action, but also lots of quiet moments. And as a kid, I loved seeing all the characters!

#4 How do you read your comics? Print, digital, trades?

I buy only print for books I collect. I buy digital for books I simply read or enjoy. I’m now into buying HCs for truly fantastic stuff.

#5 What do you consider to be the most “obscure” title you read?

Regrettably, I don’t read much obscura, but I truly love Greg Rucka’s Stumptown by Oni Press. Really beautiful stuff.

#6 You get to pick three: Favorite writers (current or of all time)?

James Robinson, Gail Simone and Greg Rucka, in no certain order. I’d follow them if they wrote the backs of cereal boxes.

#7 What is your favorite comic collector’s item?

I just got a Barbara Gordon/Batgirl poster made by the American Library Association, encouraging kids to read. It is awesome.

#8 As a reader do you tend to stick to a specific publisher, follow creative teams or follow characters?

I’ve always been more of a DC Comics fan, but I follow certain writers wherever they go.

#9 You get to pick three (again): Favorite artists?

George Perez, Phil Jimenez, and Kevin Maguire. They draw it, I buy it. No questions asked.

#10 What was the last comic you read before answering these questions?

Earth 2 #1, looking for those Easter Eggs James Robinson put in! So many good books this month, but that one was worth multiple reads.
