Ten Tweets Thursday with @Siwelkire

Welcome to Ten Tweets Thursday, this week featuring avid comic reader Erik Lewis (@Siwelkire). Check out what he had to say about the infamous Ten Tweets!

#1 What is the first comic you remember reading?

I must have read other, but the first book where I “got it” was Amazing Spider-Man #375. I still own 2 copies.

#2 You can only pick two: all time favorite comic book characters?

My two favorite? That’s pretty tough…John Constantine and Spider-Man.

#3 What is your favorite series arc, limited or mini-series of all time?

I don’t know if I can give you just one. Maximum Carnage is pretty awesome, but Chasing A Dark Shadow is my favorite portrayal of Loki.

#4 How do you read your comics? Print, digital, trades?

A combination. I read a lot of digital stuff lately, but I love singles, and trades are great for hard to find stuff.

#5 What do you consider to be the most “obscure” title you read?

I’ll be honest with you, I haven’t been able to purchase a new comic in a while, but recently it was Atomic Robo.

#6 You get to pick three: Favorite writers (current or of all time)?

Neil Gaiman, The Pak/Van Lente team, and the Abnett/Lanning team.

#7 What is your favorite comic collector’s item?

If you’ve seen my twitter avatar or Facebook picture, you know the answer to this. I have Captain America’s shield. It’s pretty boss.

#8 As a reader do you tend to stick to a specific publisher, follow creative teams or follow characters?

I love comics as a medium. I will read just about anything, if it’s decent(or if it’s not). That said, I tend to gravitate to Marvel.

#9 You get to pick three (again): Favorite artists?

Chris Samnee, Scott Wegener, and Khoi Pham? I’ll be honest, I’m not great with artists.

#10 What was the last comic you read before answering these questions?

The Watchmen. It’s part of a science fiction class I’m taking in college.
