#1 What is the first comic you remember reading?

It was likely The Avengers, my memory is a little foggy on that front. I also read the Muppet Babies and Alf comics as a kid too.

#2 You can only pick two: all time favorite comic book characters?

Superman and Thor, as they were the first two characters my Dad introduced me to as I was getting into comics.

#3 What is your favorite series arc, limited or mini-series of all time?

Oh goodness, Avengers Forever. It has everything I could ever want in a comic. I need to re-read that now that you remind me of it.

#4 How do you read your comics? Print, digital, trades?

I’ll put it simply as all three. As I buy all three fairly frequently in one way or another.

#5 What is your favourite independent comic you feel everyone should be picking up?

I’m on the bandwagon but everyone should be getting The Wicked + The Divine. Only two issues in and I love it.

#6 You get to pick three: Favorite writers (current or of all time)?

Kurt Busiek, Greg Rucka, Warren Ellis

#7 What is your favorite comic collector’s item?

As this is a collectors item now, my Howard the Duck Omnibus. I love it so much. It counts as it is painfully out of print.

#8 As a reader do you tend to stick to a specific publisher, follow creative teams or follow characters?

I don’t think I’ve followed a specific publisher in ages. I’m all about teams at this point and if the concept catches my eye.

#9 You get to pick three (again): Favorite artists?

Katsuhiro Otomo, Alex Ross, and George Perez.

#10 What was the last comic you read before answering these questions?

Transformers vs. G.I. Joe #1, as it’ll likely knock Tom Scioli into my favorite artist list in the near future.
