#TenTweetsThursday with @SheGeeksBlog

Happy Thanksgiving, American readers, and happy Thursday to everyone around the globe! It’s time for Ten Tweets, and this week we welcome one of Comicosity’s newest writers, Eris Walsh (@SheGeeksBlog) to the hot seat! See what she had to say below…

#1 What is the first comic you remember reading?

Pretty sure it was an ‘X-Men’ title, but that was nearly 30 years ago, so I don’t remember the specific issue!

#2 You can only pick two: all time favorite comic book characters?

Batman and Wonder Woman. I don’t even care how cliched that answer is; hands down, they win.

#3 What is your favorite series arc, limited or mini-series of all time?

I’m a huge fan of Neil Gaiman’s ‘Sandman’ and though my favorite Endless was Delerium, I adored ‘Death: The High Cost of Living’

#4 How do you read your comics? Print, digital, trades?

I will always prefer print for anything I read. I also prefer graphic novels to individual issues.

#5 What is your favourite independent comic you feel everyone should be picking up?

Tough one! I really enjoyed ‘Lilith Dark and the Beastie Tree’ by C. Dowd, and ‘Rat Queens’ by Kurtis Wiebe

#6 You get to pick three: Favorite writers (current or of all time)?

Oh, hell! Um… I’ll go with: Neil Gaiman, Gail Simone, and Jeph Loeb.

#7 What is your favorite comic collector’s item?

I have some beautiful, unlicensed, original art pieces I’ve collected over the years. They’re fantastic, creative takes on Batman art.

#8 As a reader do you tend to stick to a specific publisher, follow creative teams or follow characters?

Well, I certainly follow characters! Once a writer or artist strikes a cord with me I’ll definitely follow them as well though.

#9 You get to pick three (again): Favorite artists?

Tim Sale and Dave McKean for sure. I’m really digging the stuff I’m seeing from Babs Tarr as well. I think she’s going to go far!

#10 What was the last comic you read before answering these questions?

Ha! I just finished up ‘American Legends’ #5 to review. Timing is everything, I suppose! (Prior to that was ‘Deadpool vs Hawkeye’ #2)
