THE HONOR ROLL: February 24, 2016 Releases

It’s a beautiful week for comic books! We have some great books for you to check out full of wonderful spoiler filled panels. Let’s get to it!

SAGA #34 – James Kaplan

This was a strong issue for Saga. As opposed to some of the other recent issues that have focused on just a few characters, this one checked in on several different groups of characters. It’s clear that tension is building and things are going to come to a head on a number of fronts. This book continues to have some of the very best illustration in all of comics, courtesy of Fiona Staples. She’s capable of conveying tremendous emotion in a character, even if the character is a strange alien or a robot with a TV for a head. It’s a fun and engaging issue. Plus it has Ghus! Everyone loves that adorable seal-guy.

CHEW #55 – Kulbir Mann

There is a heart to Chew that masquerades in frivolity and humour, but when it chooses to bring love and pain, it is one of the most passionate books out there. The final fate of Savoy has been built from issue one and his sacrifices are yet to be fully understood. And when they are, it will be an amazing story to tell.
