THE HONOR ROLL: July 26, 2017 Releases

What a wild time to be alive. What a time to need comics more than ever! We have great spoiler filled comics picks from our contributors for you to check out, so let’s get to it!

ACTION COMICS #984 – Scott Keys

Absolutely LOVE what Jurgens & Zircher have been doing on Action Comics, and Action Comics #984 was a home run for me! C’mon, it’s an evil version of our favorite Superfamily as Zod brings Ursa and Lor-Zod from the Phantom Zone! Can’t wait for what happens next!

Scott Keys is a father, Butler University grad, pharmacist, and full-time comic nerd. You can follow his adventures around the spinner-rack and his Incoherent Comic Book Ramblings on: Twitter: @Like_car_Keys Tumblr:likecarkeys.tumblr.comInstagram: Like_car_Keys Facebook: Scott Keys (Likecarkeys) Google+: Scott Keys Pinterest: LikecarKeys

Go Go Power Rangers focuses on plot lines that the original show never had time to do or ignored. I love that this comic series makes Rita a smarter villain by figuring out the ranger’s identities, this causes tension for their already iconic hero/villain dynamic.

CROSSWIND #2- Kara Leavitt

Gail Simone and Cat Staggs make an incredible team! Juniper and Cason lead completely opposite lives, which makes it so interesting to see them attempt to adapt to their new circumstances. Simone always delivers a fantastic story and the character work on Juniper and Cason is absolutely fantastic. Staggs’s art is gorgeous, and she shifts between the two different characters and their worlds extremely well. Crosswind is an absolute blast and a must-read.

About Me: Kara is a pre-vet sophomore at Tufts University. She loves reading comics in her spare time and frequenting her local movie theater. Follow her @karalea16

SAVAGE DRAGON #225– Aaron Meyers

Was this good? Hard to say. Nostalgic. Bonkers.

About Me: Aaron Meyers loves reading comics, collecting comics and talking about comics. He’s grateful to share his love of comics with all of his friends on the Internet. From Twitter at @aaronmeyers, to his new podcast, Comics Therapy with Andrea Shockling, it’s all about the love of comics. He also loves his family, especially his wife, Chrissy Meyers. And while you were taking the time to read this, Aaron went and bought all the best issues from your store’s dollar bin. You lose, Aaron wins. #AllTheComics

Thanks as always for reading and sharing the most honored comics of the week with us. Same time next week!
