THE HONOR ROLL: May 16, 2018 Releases

Some weeks I’m left speechless at the amount of wonderful spoiler-filled picks we have from our great contributors, and this is one of those weeks, so instead, lets get right to it!

ALL-NEW WOLVERINE #35 Doug Zawisza

This gives readers the last story of Laura Kinney as she sets out to end Doctor Doom’s reign in Latveria. Set in the future under the title of “Old Woman Laura,” this story wraps up in this issue, but it also wraps up the series written by Tom Taylor. Packed with action, adventure, and heart, All-New Wolverine #35 is sheer comic reading joy. The magnificent artwork from Ramon Rosanas and Nolan Woodard matches the story’s soul, and Cory Petit letters polish it all up quite nicely. All-New Wolverine was the top of my reading stack every time it came out, and it will be sorely missed on a regular basis. The upside? I’ve got 35 wonderful issues I can go back and re-read forever.

About Me: I’m Doug. Father of three, husband of one, fan of all things good. I’m a regular contributor here on Comicosity and I dig a good roll call. Twitter: @DZawisza

X-MEN: WEDDING SPECIAL #1 Kat!

This issue highlighted some of Kitty’s best relationships, but I love Thompson’s subtlety with Emma Frost’s congratulations.

JUSTICE LEAGUE: NO JUSTICE #2 – Scott Keys

This was a great read, and beautiful to look at, too! Looking forward to seeing what Vril Dox (aka Brainiac 2.0) is up to.

About Me: Scott Keys is a father, Butler University grad, pharmacist, and full-time comic nerd. You can follow his adventures around the spinner-rack and his Incoherent Comic Book Ramblings on: Twitter

B.P.R.D. THE DEVIL YOU KNOW #6 – Pete Buser

Mike Mignola back drawing Hellboy, if only for three pages, is all I need this week.

About Me: Pete Buser is an enigma wrapped in a variant cover. Follow his mystery @petebuser

ALL-NEW WOLVERINE #35 Aaron Meyers

A long and wonderful run. Enjoyed every moment of it!

About Me: Aaron Meyers loves reading comics, collecting comics and talking about comics. He’s grateful to share his love of comics with all of his friends on the Internet. From Twitter at @aaronmeyers, to his new podcast, Comics Therapy with Andrea Shockling, it’s all about the love of comics. He also loves his family, especially his wife, Chrissy Meyers. And while you were taking the time to read this, Aaron went and bought all the best issues from your store’s dollar bin. You lose, Aaron wins. #AllTheComics

Thanks as always for reading and sharing the most honored comics of the week with us. Same time next week!
