THE HONOR ROLL: September 5, 2018 Releases

Convention season is in full swing! Comics frenzy is on us and we have great ones to celebrate. We have great spoiler filled picks from our contributors so let’s get to it!

JUSTICE LEAGUE #7 – Doug Zawisza

It’s great to have artist Jim Cheung back alongside writer Scott Snyder in the pages of Justice League. Cheung brings such a ridiculous level of detailed artwork that I found myself counting the pages of Justice League #7 after reading it the first time, just to make sure the issue wasn’t oversized (and it’s not!). While I would have loved to have more Cheung in the issues between Justice League #1 and this one, there’s no complaining about how wonderful this book reads and the fact that this is the exact right time for Cheung’s return.

About Me: I’m Doug. Father of three, husband of one, fan of all things good. I’m a regular contributor here on Comicosity and I dig a good roll call. Twitter: @DZawisza

PAPER GIRLS #24 – Kat!

It takes a life or death experience with KJ for Mac to realize that even if you’re a time traveler you can’t change your fate. So you have to live the life you are given.

About Me: I’m Kat! A YouTuber on Comic Uno and Comic Frontline, a podcaster on the Legends of Tomorrow Podcast, Bylines: Newsarama, Fandom, IGN. Writer/creator for comic book series Like Father, Like Daughter and They Call Her…The Dancer. Follow me on @ComicUno.

THE DREAMING #1 – Scott Keys

Spurrier & Evely (with a GORGEOUS Jae Lee cover) is a great addition to the expanding Sandman Universe! Can’t wait for issue 2!

About Me: Scott Keys is a father, Butler University grad, pharmacist, and full-time comic nerd. You can follow his adventures around the spinner-rack and his Incoherent Comic Book Ramblings on: Twitter:

BORDER TOWN #1 Aaron Meyers

What a great first issue and the art is insane!

About Me: Aaron Meyers loves reading comics, collecting comics and talking about comics. He’s grateful to share his love of comics with all of his friends on the Internet. From Twitter at @aaronmeyers, to his new podcast, Comics Therapy with Andrea Shockling, it’s all about the love of comics. He also loves his family, especially his wife, Chrissy Meyers. And while you were taking the time to read this, Aaron went and bought all the best issues from your store’s dollar bin. You lose, Aaron wins. #AllTheComics

Thanks as always for reading and sharing the most honored comics of the week with us. Same time next week!
