Bond & Hi-Fi’s FEMME MAGNIFIQUE Kickstarter Launches

“Who inspires you? That’s the question we asked the creators involved with FEMME MAGNIFIQUE,” explains Brian Miller, co-owner of HiFi Colour Design and a co-curator of the Kickstarter graphic novel anthology that launches today. “Their answers may surprise and even shock you,” Miller continues, “but I guarantee when you read these stories, you will be inspired, too.”

FEMME MAGNIFIQUE is a graphic novel anthology that celebrates thirty female trailblazers. From astronauts and abolitionists to computer coders and gender activists, these fearless women from our history have paved the way for equal rights in science, politics and the arts.

A star-studded team of New York Times best-selling writers and artists, Eisner Award winners, and TED speakers deliver powerful, personal stories that are rich and relevant. “These are the stories you haven’t heard,” editor and co-curator Shelly Bond explains. “We couldn’t think of a better way to honor both this group of triumphant women and the forward-thinking, inclusive creators from the comic book industry.

Anthropologist Kristy Miller, co-owner of HiFi Colour Design and co-curator of FEMME MAGNIFIQUE, adds, “Women have been ruling the world for centuries but are often overlooked or forgotten. FEMME MAGNIFIQUE delivers an important message, one we hope will be discovered by like-minded men and women. Help us to recognize the contributions made by women in all walks of life so they are not overlooked by future generations.”

The 30-day Kickstarter Campaign begins today.
