JAMIE said “It’s a shame we never saw any of the gods’ early funtimes,” and KIERON said “Yeah,” and then they looked at each other, and then called all their talented friends to do a Christmas album of (mostly) fan service! Inanna and Baal getting it on! Lucifer and Sakhmet getting it on! Dionysus giving Baphomet a lift in a crappy car! And more! This one has it all.

Why It’s Hot: Some of the best creators in comics coming together to make a Christmas Annual for one of the best creator owned comics around. Look at the names involved and tell me this comic isn’t going to be amazing?

* Amazing Spider-Man #792 – Spider-Man vs. Venom for the first time in a few years, as the Venom INC crossover continues!

* The Archies #3 – The Archies are on tour and CHVRCHES make their comic debut, as Segura, Rosenberg, and Eisma’s rock n’ roll spectacular continues to impress.

* Batgirl & The Birds Of Prey #17 – The female heroes of Gotham City have been united by the Birds Of Prey to defeat The Daughters Of Gotham. Will it be enough?

* Bug: The Adventures Of Forager #6 – The finale of the Allred brother’s and Young Animal’s ode to Jack Kirby is here.

* Catalyst Prime: Astonisher #3 – Alex De Campi and Pop Mhan’s contribution to the burgeoning Catalyst Prime universe continues

* Despicable Deadpool #290 – Since being rebranded as Despicable Deadpool Gerry Duggan’s “The Merc With A Mouth” run has never better. Deadpool hired by Stryfe to kill Cable comes with all sorts wildness. There are dinosaurs, vampires, vampire dinosaurs, time travel, dismemberment, and so much more.

* Falcon #3 – Sam Wilson takes on Blackheart for the soul of Chicago!

* Judas #1 – BOOM! Studios has compared this new four issue mini-series to Preacher and The Goddamned. Bringing up one of the best comics of the past twenty years, and Jason Aaron’s biblical epic is a sure way to build hype for your comic. Will Jeff Loveness and Jakub Rebelka’s take on the story of Judas Icscariot live up to the hype? I sure hope so!

* Justice League Of America #20 – The JLA’s latest battle with Prometheus comes to a conclusion

* Kid Lobotomy #3 – The flagship title of IDW’s Black Crown imprint is one of the coolest, creepiest, and flat out weirdest comics of 2017. Not enough can be said about the work of Peter Milligan, Tess Fowler, and everyone else involved has done under the watchful eye of super editor Shelly Bond.

* Rumble #1 – The fan favorite Image series Rumble is back with a new number one!

* Secret Warriors #10 – Secret Warriors is one of Marvel’s best comics. It’s a perfect blend of Inhumans and X-Men, and there’s no further proof needed than the team taking on Mr. Sinister,

* Star Wars #40 – Happy Star Wars: The Last Jedi week!

* The Punisher #219 – Frank Castle in War Machine armor shouldn’t work, but after Rosenberg and Vilanova’s first issue it’s clear that the team has defied expectations. The Punisher killing bad guys with a whole lot of firepower is a whole lot of fun.

* Weapon X #12 – Nuke-Clear War begins here, as the Weapon X team goes head to head with a a militia powered by the same red pills that gave Nuke his powers. I think we can expect some violence courtesy of Greg Pak and Yildiray Cinar!

* The Wildstorm: Michael Cray #3 – The Wildstorm’s Michael Cray comes face to face with the DC Universe’s The Flash! The work that Hill and company have done in the first spinoff of Warren Ellis’ The Wild Storm has been nothing short of phenomenal.

* X-Men Blue #17 – The “Original Five” continue their wild caper through time and come face to face with the X-Men of 2099!
