The volume comes to a close with Abnett and Culbard teasing, tormenting and taunting readers…just as they should. This the last issue of the second volume of Wild’s End!

These storytellers have really ramped up the chaos with The Enemy Within and issue #6 is no exception. While I will admit the sharpness of the ending threw me for a loop as it doesn’t provide much closure, the lead up to that point is as crazy as what I’ve grown to expect from this series. Abnett and Culbard are two storytelling fiends in perfect sync, unleashing mayhem all over this sleepy world and continuing to show that no one is safe from these alien conquerors. This issue pulls no punches, fire sweeping across this cute anthropomorphic world with vigor and zeal. To say I’m fearful for some of these characters in the long run of the series is an understatement, but I’m also hooked. Abnett and Culbard have built a world I have grown very fond of and I think they are having fun now as they tear it apart. Hell has come to Wild’s End and this comic is quite the read.

I.N.J. Culbard’s work is very strong in this issue, as he deals with some of the horrors of war while also maintaining the comfy, cozy nature of Wild’s End. It isn’t an easy balance, mayhem and cuteness, but Culbard handles the visual aspect of this comic well. I don’t want him to ever stop penciling and colouring these characters.

Wild’s End: The Enemy Within #6 is a wild comic where all hell is breaking loose, but it’s just the start of something even bigger. Wild’s End is being torn apart and Abnett and Culbard are at the top of their storytelling game with this issue & series.

The Verdict: 10/10
