Welcome to Ten Tweets Thursday, the weekly feature where Comicosity harasses a poor comic book loving person with a Twitter interview of ten specific questions. This week, we dig deeper into the mind of We Talk Comics podcast co-host and Comicosity reviewer Keith Callbeck (@CubReporterK).
#1 What is the first comic you remember reading?
It was a cross-over between Amazing Spider-man & Byrne’s Fantastic Four. I learned to read with comics but that’s the first I remember.
#2 You can only pick two: all time favorite comic book characters?
Booster Gold and Superman.
#3 What is your favorite limited or mini-series of all time?
Watchmen.
#4 How do you read your comics? Print, digital, trades?
Digital as a disposable medium. Print when I’m borrowing of course. Trades for what goes in the Permanent Collection.
#5 What do you consider to be the most “obscure” title you read?
The books from ComixTribe, a company just starting out so they are printed in the hundreds.
#6 You get to pick three: Favorite writers (current or of all time)?
Warren Ellis, Garth Ennis, Dan Jurgens
#7 Do you listen to music while reading? If so, what genre?
Rarely listen to music when reading comics.
#8 As a reader do you tend to stick to a specific publisher, follow creative teams or follow characters?
I’m primarily a DC fan. But I’ll follow a few creators wherever they work, as long as it isn’t into the quagmire of Marvel events.
#9 You get to pick three (again): Favorite artists?
Dan Jurgens, Michael Zulli, John Byrne
#10 What was the last comic you read before answering these questions?
Scott Snyder’s Swamp Thing #4.
