Ten Tweets Thursday with @IndigoLantern

Thursday means it’s time for Ten Tweets! This week we chat with Dante (@IndigoLantern), Twitter’s own Indigo Lantern and huge comic fan. Check out what Dante had to say about the Ten Tweets!

#1 What is the first comic you remember reading?

Fantastic Four #378. My father picked it up for me on a Sunday morning grocery store trip. I must have read it over 100 times.

#2 You can only pick two: all time favorite comic book characters?

Tough one. Yorick Brown from Y: The Last Man for sure, and I have to choose just one of the Runaways. Let’s go with Nico Minoru.

#3 What is your favorite series arc, limited or mini-series of all time?

That’s a toss up between Kingdom Come and The Hard Goodbye. I’m going to have to choose Kingdom Come on this one.

#4 How do you read your comics? Print, digital, trades?

I read my comics half in print, half in trade. I’ve tried digital and it’s just not for me.

#5 What do you consider to be the most “obscure” title you read?

The most obscure title I read is Empowered by Adam Warren. Superhero parody done in American manga style. I absolutely love it.

#6 You get to pick three: Favorite writers (current or of all time)?

Favorite three comic writers in descending order: Brian K. Vaughan, Neil Gaiman, Geoff Johns.

#7 What is your favorite comic collector’s item?

The 2005 Boy Scouts of America National Jamboree collector X-Men patches and the 2010 BSA National Jamboree collector Avengers patches.

#8 As a reader do you tend to stick to a specific publisher, follow creative teams or follow characters?

I’ll read anything by BKV or Gaiman. I follow Hal Jordan, Steph Brown, Carol Danvers, Buffy and the Runaways. I generally favor DC.

#9 You get to pick three (again): Favorite artists?

In no particular order: Darwyn Cooke, Frank Miller, and Adrian Alphona.

#10 What was the last comic you read before answering these questions?

Angel + Faith #15 by Christos Gage & Rebekah Issacs. Best Buffy-verse comic on the stands right now.
