#TenTweetsThursday with @TreeBeerd

Happy Thursday! SDCC is in full swing, but that doesn’t stop the juggernaut that is Ten Tweets Thursday! This week we welcome Kelly Williams (@Treebeerd), artist of the upcoming Metaphase OGN and much more! Check out Kelly’s thoughts on the infamous Ten Tweets below….

#1 What is the first comic you remember reading?

It was an issue of Tales from the Crypt I believe. I loved those old EC reprints when I was a kid. (Still do!)

#2 You can only pick two: all time favorite comic book characters?

This is a tough question! Of all time?? Usagi Yojimbo and Storm, I guess…. I don’t know man, that’s a hard question!

#3 What is your favorite series arc, limited or mini-series of all time?

All time favorites are hard! I’ll say Ted McKeever’s Metropol series. McKeever tells such great stories and his art is fantastic!

#4 How do you read your comics? Print, digital, trades?

I mostly buy print when I can, but I read digitally as well. I think some books work better than others in the digital format.

#5 What do you consider to be the most “obscure” title you read?

I don’t know. I read a lot. I recently picked up some Plastic Farm and the newest Percy Gloom book. Are those obscure?

#6 You get to pick three: Favorite writers (current or of all time)?

Evan Dorkin, Stan Sakai, James Kolchalka (I’m just going off the top of my head here)

#7 What is your favorite comic collector’s item?

I don’t buy a lot of that stuff anymore, but art and statues are for sure the top of that list when I can afford them! Mostly comics.

#8 As a reader do you tend to stick to a specific publisher, follow creative teams or follow characters?

Don’t follow specific publishers there’s far too much awesome stuff coming from everywhere to do that. Creators make any book what it is.

#9 You get to pick three (again): Favorite artists?

Bernie Wrightson, Joe Kubert, Mike Mignola (again, just going off the top of my head.)

#10 What was the last comic you read before answering these questions?

Knuckleheads #2
